On October 27, commencing at 4:00 p.m., for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. NAKASONE Yasutaka, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Noel WHITE, Ambassador-Designate of Ireland to Japan.
- State Minister NAKASONE expressed his congratulations to Ambassador-Designate White, who arrived in September to take up his post, and welcomed the fact that Japan and Ireland, as partners sharing fundamental values, have seen their bilateral relationship become even closer in recent years.
- The two sides exchanged views on cooperation between Japan and Ireland across a wide range of fields, including security, economy, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
- Furthermore, the two sides concurred that, towards next year’s 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, they will advance concrete cooperation across a broad range of areas and work together for the future development of bilateral relations.
